Dr. Heather Backstrom is an accomplished executive coach, facilitator, author, and speaker. She has coached leaders in many industries including finance, banking, biotech, retail, municipalities, aerospace, healthcare, and the law, as well as many nonprofits.

She is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Redlands. Dr. Backstrom is the author of the women’s leadership book, Collaborative Confidence: How women leaders can activate self-awareness, amplify their authentic talents, and accelerate workplace change.

She earned a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of the Pacific, a master’s degree in human resources from Chapman University, and an Ed.D. in organizational leadership from Pepperdine University.

She enjoys traveling and has floated on the Dead Sea, walked on the Great Wall of China, and ridden a hot air balloon over Stockholm, Sweden. She’s also run in one marathon and that was enough.
